Examinations

Specialized in Water Resources Engineering, He has 23 years of teaching, research and administrative experience. Research interests are Integrated Water Resources Management, Watershed management, Rainwater harvesting, Management of Lift irrigation schemes and GIS applications in water resources management. He has published 98 research papers in various National/ International journals/conferences, guided 4 Ph.Ds in the fields of lift irrigation, Friction factor studies on domestically used PVC pipes, Rainfall-Runoff modeling and Hydraulic properties of open channel sections. He guided 16 M.Tech dissertations. Presently he is guiding 12 Ph.D’s and a
number of M.Tech projects. Delivered number of lecturers on the themes of water resource development, rainwater harvesting, conjunctive utilization of surface and ground water, Boundary layer concepts etc. at various industry/Research organizations.		Dr. G.K. Vishwanath Director, EXAMINATIONS
He has been associated with MHRD Project on modernization of hydraulics and fluid mechanics laboratory. Completed R&D project on “Descriptive and prescriptive models for management of floods” funded by AICTE. Presently an R&D project on “Integrated water Resources management for a scanty rainfall area” sanctioned by AICTE is under progress. He worked as Coordinator for A.P state government project on comparative evaluation of minor irrigation schemes in A.P. He has industrial experience in preparation of DPRs for mini hydel stations, and monitoring various irrigation work and also third party quality control works for major and medium irrigation projects of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. He is the expert committee member for the Palem Vagu medium irrigation project for recommending suitable remedial measures for the dam breach in the year Aug.2008. He is also the member of the monitoring committee for the project execution for the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. He is the technical paper reviewer for the journal of Civil Engineering division, Institution of Engineers (India), Journal of Spatial Hydrology. He is the fellow of Institution of Engineers(India). He is the member of the professional bodies like ISTE, JOSH, IWRS, IAH, ISRS etc. He is the member Board of studies for JNTUH college of Engineering, JNTU IST and JNTUH affiliated colleges.
